Wordpress Click Tracking Plugin

What is this?

Well, this is a wordpress plugin which can monitor visitors clicks on your blog.

Why do You need it?

Basically, if you monitor website visitors clicks you can have a good statistical data and overview on visitor activity. I know it is not for everyone, but here are some ideas for its usage:

You can quickly see which links are popular and which are not.
You can put ads next to your popular clicking spots.
You can see on which ads do people click the most.
Find out which pages are getting most of the clicks.
Some people actually read with their mouse (I’m one of them), they mark the text to ease their reading. You will see clicks inside of popular text.

Hmm… Looks interesting .. Could come handy for ads tracking ..

Btw .. Is it me or no one can click on this page to select any content .. Is this because of the plugin or is it that Im using IE ..?

I can’t get the clickmaps… I’ve installed it right, and it’s getting clicks..

But once I go to Click Tracking on the Dashboard, there’s no way I can get a ClickMap. It allways tells me “no click data for selected url & browser.”

I choose different Browsers and All, but nothing.. And the URL list field only lets me choose ‘empty’ or ‘(clics:258)’.

I don’t really know what to do. Please, some help would be nice, it looks really good.

Which wordpress version are you using? and browser? It should work fine….

I’m using 2.2.3 version, and Firefox Browser on Linux Ubuntu.

Now I can only see one click map. In the URL List there are three options now:

1.- (empty option)
2.- ‘(clicks: 1793)’
3.- ‘http://boozox.net/web/1-blog-cacher-alternativa-a-wp-cache/ (clicks: 1)’

In that order. Only the third one gives me a clickmap, but one only click is shown.

It would be nice if I could use it right…

Have thought a version for blogger and MovableType?

Mapa de clicks per Wordpress…

Acabo d’instal·lar un nou mapa de clicks al bloc. Es diu Click Tracking plugin i d’entrada té molt bona pinta.
Aquest plugin, una vegada instal·lat i amb uns mínims clicks fets per la pàgina, et mostra on s’ha fet més vegades …

It’s lag in Ie and Firefox, when you click on the scrollbar to the right. It’s a little bug but else good work.

Does it work on Wordpress 2.3?

Isn’t working in 2.3, when I check the map it collapses into a small window

Oddly enough, this works using IE7, not IE6 and it doesn’t work in Firefox. I have tested this with both 2.2 and 2.3.1 and they work just fine as long as it is IE7 for me.

In WP2.3 it does not work when I set URL addresses under Options > Click Tracking. Your plugin tracks clicks with this field left empty just fine. Would be great to see an update on this. Thank you.

Good plugin

After months of using this plugin, I only have 2 words for it: it works!

Only question for now are the colors. Since there are varying colors (some blue while others are red), I take it they mean something “special” or so? In what way/s?

Hi, first of all I want to tell you this plugin is great but I have a problem generating the heatmap-img.

When I access to the “Click Tracking” section I can select a map with a number of clicks and see the page content, but I cannot see the heatmap image and, instead of it, I see the alt text.

I am using Wordpress 2.2 and I have tested it accesing by Firefox, Opera and IE6 and it has always the same behaviour.

Has anybody the same problem?

Does not seem to work for me. When I select it in the dashboard, enter http://www.bodden.de/ as URL and hit the button it just gives me:

no click data for selected url & browser.

I can’t even select any browser. What does that mean? I certainly have *some* visitors.

Would be fine, but…
All the textarea type doesn’t react to a single click, but to double clicks only. Same behaviour on this text area where I type now.. same with IE and FF. If I deactivate the plugin, the problem disappears. Fix it please, because I love your creature.
